Your customers are the core of everything your business does. So we’re streamlining two key areas of your customer workflows in simPRO - managing customer contact records and late payment fees. These features are available in the latest simPRO release, rolling out from April 22.

Faster Customer Contact Record Creation with Bulk Imports

This latest update will be a time saver for staff who are tasked with setting up customer contact records.

Bulk customer contact imports are now available in simPRO, allowing you to import from a csv, txt or zip file. This means that wherever you are storing your customer contacts - a CRM, spreadsheet, or even your phone - you can upload them all into simPRO within minutes.

The new feature will reduce the time your staff spend on setting up customer contacts, and reduce data errors.

Importing customer contacts will work the same way as the existing simPRO Vendor Contact Import.

Import and Export Custom fields for Customer Contacts

Many of our simPRO clients maintain customer records in separate CRM systems. simPRO now supports the import and export of custom data fields for those customers who have tailored their CRM to meet their unique business needs.

Increment late payment fees daily or monthly

Every business owner knows the stress and hassle of late invoice payments. The decision to charge late payment fees or interest is not something any business owner takes lightly. But the impact of unpaid invoices on cash flow means it is often a necessity.

In the past simPRO could only calculate late payment fees per month. Businesses could set this as a default late payment fee for all customers, or apply to individual customers, that incremented monthly. With this release, there is also a daily option.

This feature will make it easier for simPRO users to comply with UK regulations on applying interest on late commercial payments.

As with any financial matter, we recommend you talk to your accountant about the best approach for your business.

Improvements and Enhancements

Below is a selection of the improvements and enhancements made this time around:

* When restocking a storage device, the items added to the purchase order can now be sorted by part number.

* When you open a project that is currently being edited, the pop-up notification will now tell you who else has it open.
